Governor Charlie Baker was inaugurated as the 72nd Governor of Massachusetts on January 8th, 2015. Since taking office, he has been focused on making Massachusetts a great place to live, work and raise a family, while also working to deliver a more customer-service oriented state government.
Prior to his election, Governor Baker was a leader of both private and public organizations, serving as a cabinet secretary to both Governors William Weld and Paul Cellucci, and as CEO of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care where he lead the organization from the brink of bankruptcy to one of the nation's highest ranked health care providers.
