Managers account for at least 70% of the variance in employee engagement scores across business units, according to Gallup's State of the American Manager. In today’s tumultuous business environment, managers face the heightened challenges of leading an increasingly diverse workforce through a period marked by an ongoing pandemic crisis and a time of unprecedented social upheaval.
In this four-part leadership development series, participants will learn essential competencies to build trust and influence in their organizations while nurturing an inclusive culture to successfully lead through these challenging times. Each module in the series will explore a competency critical to successful leadership, with a continued focus on applying those competencies in a manner that promotes a strong culture of inclusivity. Participants will first explore how to connect and build synchrony with their diverse teams, in order to gain the trust needed to set direction. They will examine strategies and frameworks to help them effectively lead across the organization, manage up the organization, and leverage conflict and diversity of thought to maximize team performance and innovation. Finally, participants will learn and practice how to provide employee centered feedback and coaching, in a manner that is informed by inclusivity practices.
All sessions will be highly engaging, challenging participants to put their new skills and understanding into practice through exercises and discussions and building confidence in their new capabilities.
A digital certificate will be awarded upon full attendance at all four sessions.
